Scanpan, founded in 1956, has been Denmark’s leading producer of aluminium cookware for more than forty years.  Scanpan Classic is suitable for all cook tops, except induction, and is oven safe.  The Ceramic Titanium non-stick cooking surface with pressure-cast aluminium body (not Teflon), is extremely durable with all kitchen utensils (even metal ones).   Scanpan Classic is designed for use on low to medium heat settings, making it possible to fry and sear without fat.

The handles can tolerate oven temperatures up to 260 C / 500 F and the glass lids can also tolerate the same oven temperatures.  The pressure-cast aluminium base has the ability to distribute heat evenly, contribute to reducing energy consumption whilst at the same time providing for stable cooking and frying properties.  It comes with a 10 year guarantee covering normal household use.
